First let me welcome you to Getting Rid of Cellulite. My name is Jenn and I started this site because (like many of you), I had become uncomfortable with what I saw in my mirror. Dealing with cellulite is much like handling weight-loss. The optimal solution is undoubtedly the optimal lifestyle – eating only the healthiest of foods, and getting proper daily exercise! We all know that, right?
That said, most of us have already discovered that following a healthy diet and exercising regularly, although vastly important, is NOT that easy!
For many of us today, our lives are fast-paced and stressful. We grab lunch at “fast food” places more often than we should, and when we eat at home it is prepackaged foods of questionable nutritive value. Our effort at physical exercise is most often walking from the garage to the kitchen. The price we pay for these short-comings is a body lacking in muscle tone and packed with too much fatty tissue.
This accumulation of surplus fat on our bodies settles in many different areas. When pockets of fat collect under the surface of the skin, it usually creates what is known as cellulite. A quick summary of my experience
Rippling on my upper thighs and buttocks first became noticeable in my early 20′s, and so began my struggle to get rid of it. Water consumption is a key component in the cellulite reduction process. Drink plenty of water – as much as 64 oz. of water per day, along with a well-balanced diet. The water is another contributor to the flushing of toxins from your body.
Regular tissue massages are a definite benefit. The massage will increase blood flow, helping to flush out toxins and excess fluid that are partly to blame for the formation of cellulite. The key to this is the regularity as the massages must be repeated to reap continued benefit.
Last but not least, it is mandatory that you maintain a healthy diet CONSISTENTLY. Do NOT try dieting, then fall off it for awhile before resuming it, or trying a different one.
